The past few week have been the busiest of the year for charter fishing in the Tarpon Springs area. The fish have also been very busy, we have had several days of non stop redfish action. and the snook that were waiting for the warmer temperatures are waiting no longer. with the weather is finally getting the notice that it was time for spring the fishing in the Tampa bay area has gone ballistic. The past couple of weeks have been the best I have seen in a couple of years, I had the pleasure of fishing a long time client of mine that brought along some business partners that have never fished in our waters. We pulled up to an area off of Tarpon Springs looking for redfish and never moved for three hours, we caught well over 50 redfish up to 28 inches. This scenario was repeated several times over the next week, when the tide was right the fish were ready. I was also able to get the snook that have been so finicky to finally begin to eat. Another good client brought his son Alex to catch some redfish and snook and boy did he, He landed several reds and caught the biggest snook of his life, a very respectable 30 inch fish. Now is the time if you are thinking about going fishing to go, the tides are still important but if you get here to go, do it. Our Tampa bay fishing Charters are very busy but there are still a few days left for April.
